Indie Flea to debut inside Hotel Haya in Ybor City this fall
The Indie Flea is a showcase of the best artists, bakers, and makers here in Tampa and St. Petersburg. This recurring event has helped elevate and empower so many locals looking to grow their own business. At long last the Indie Flea organizers are poised to bring the event back to the city of Tampa, this time in Historic Ybor City at the gorgeous Hotel Haya.
Previously, the event had taken place at Armature Works, as well as in the EDGE District of St. Petersburg and inside Coastal Creative in St. Pete. Here’s the official announcement from Indie Flea on Instagram:
“We are returning for fall and we are thrilled to be back in Tampa for our newest event series: the Sunday Market Showcase at the beautiful @hotelhaya in historic Ybor City! ”

Official dates and safety protocols are still TBD. Make sure to follow Indie Flea on Instagram for the latest info on the event.
Indie Flea is female owned and operated. It was founded by Rosey Williams nearly 10 years ago in downtown St. Petersburg. Williams operated her own vintage shop on the 600 Block of Central Avenue, and would often host local makers on the sidewalk to help stimulate and promote foot traffic around the neighborhood.
Today the Indie Flea supports hundreds of amazing local businesses across the region and the state.
Hotel Haya is located at 1412 E 7th Avenue.
Bringing 1950s Havana to Ybor City
The Hotel Haya, designed by Alfonso Architects Incorporated, transported its block of Ybor City back to 1950s Havana, known as the golden age for the city.
The adaptive reuse of two distinctive buildings combined with a smart new build, Hotel Haya captures the exuberant Cuban, Italian, and Spanish influences of the famed Ybor City neighborhood.
The rooms are lush. The “mid-century Cuban” guestrooms will feature period fabrics and colors, along with locally made glass bulbs blown at the Morean Arts Center. that pay homage to Ybor’s famous streetlights.
178-room chic hotel in the heart of Ybor
Exposed brick walls, a giant neon “HAYA” sign, and classic art –including four massive Goya reproductions – will complement the exceedingly energetic and joyous colors.
The hotel features 178 rooms making it the largest property in Aparium’s portfolio.
