Ponte Tampa, a new concept from Chef Chris Ponte, opening this year

Chef Chris Ponte is renowned for his work restaurants On Swann in Hyde Park Village and Olivia Restaurant. The Chef has just announced his latest venture, Ponte Tampa. This anticipated foodie concept will debut at the always buzzed about Midtown Tampa development later in 2021.

“As the second coming of Cafe Ponte, both new and longtime patrons will welcome this updated take,” wrote Chef Chris Ponte in an announcement on Instagram. “[Ponte Tampa] will be offering an elegant array of Modern American cuisine, including a premium selection of steaks and local seafood.”

Ponte Tampa joins a stacked roster of small businesses at Midtown

This follows the announcement that RYDE IT will open along with a Boba Bar in August. Just this past week, Sephora debuted a new standalone location at Midtown, and Shake Shake opened its very first Tampa restaurant.

The net major debut at Midtown will be Whole Foods.

Whole Foods, a grocery giant, will open a brand new 48,000-square-foot market at Midtown Tampa on July 7. 

Whole Foods is primed to open its largest location in Tampa in 2021. The expansive market is part of the ever evolving Midtown Tampa development. The Whole Foods sign was just added to the exterior of the building, undoubtably adding to the anticipation of everyone who lives/works in the area.
