YBOR CITY SATURDAY MARKET

The Ybor City Saturday Market is back. After six months away and missing the entire summer season, the market returned on Saturday, September 19. Produce, plant and craft booths are open on 19th Street in between Eighth and Ninth Avenues in Ybor City. Although there are now mandatory mask and social distancing rules, the market is keeping its same schedule of every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

NEW DOWNTOWN MURALS PROMOTE PEDESTRIAN SAFETY

As part of its Vision Zero initiative, the city of Tampa collaborated with the Tampa Downtown Partnership and artist Meaghan Farrell Scalise to create the newest colorful mural on the streets of Downtown Tampa. The project is an effort to promote road safety and protect pedestrians. Stretching across six blocks of North Ashley Drive, the neon painted asphalt serves to draw attention to the city’s existing crosswalks and bike lanes. The mural will be on display indefinitely.
